About · 黄龍 · by Shishin Research
The fifth guardian.
In the East Asian cosmology this house borrows its names from, four guardian beasts hold the four directions, and a fifth position sits at the center: the Yellow Dragon, the beast of the ground itself. Koryu is that fifth position. Four guardians watch the equity market's directions at Shishin; this site measures the ground of a fifth market, crypto, with the same discipline. The long version of the story is in the fifth guardian.
The house we come from
Shishin is a systematic US-equity research house that publishes a daily ranked board, attests every publication cryptographically, discloses its methodology deeply enough to be argued with, and audits its own flagship backtest with the statistical tools institutions use. Its evidence lives in public: the equity track record and the house's own about page. Koryu publishes under the Shishin Research masterbrand: same operator, same standards, a second market.
The connection is inherited discipline, never borrowed performance. The equity system's results belong to the equity market; when this house ran that validated engine on crypto untouched, it lost, and we published the full anatomy in the transplant experiment. That honest failure is why Koryu exists as a measurement site first and derives any strategy natively, in public, behind pre-registered gates.
What we publish
The board: one hundred liquid assets, seven measurements each, every formula published. The dial: a rules-based risk-on / risk-off state with fixed thresholds and the raw inputs printed beside the verdict. Verify: the commit-reveal attestation that makes the record tamper-evident. And the research library: 150 pieces on crypto market structure, momentum craft, methodology, and the evaluation of an industry that mostly refuses to be evaluated.
The constitution
Three findings from the founding due diligence wrote this site's rules. Any strategy must be derived natively or not at all: transplanted equity parameters failed their test. The data must include the dead: crypto research built on survivor-only universes flatters itself by construction, covered in the graveyard census. And the trust machinery is not a feature, it is the product: published formulas, attested history, losses on display, incentives disclosed.

Questions
What is Koryu?
Koryu is a crypto market measurement site: a momentum monitor over the liquid top-100 and a rules-based regime dial, recomputed daily at 00:05 UTC from published formulas, with every snapshot cryptographically attested. It is a research publisher, not an adviser, exchange, or custodian.
How is Koryu related to Shishin?
Koryu is the fifth creature of the Shishin house and publishes under the Shishin Research masterbrand. Shishin is a systematic US-equity research operation with an attested daily record; Koryu applies the same operating system, published methods, attestation, losses on display, to the crypto market. Same operator, same standards, two markets.
Does Koryu give trading signals or advice?
No. Koryu publishes measurement: descriptions of the market's current state under fixed, published rules. There are no buy or sell instructions, no price targets, and no personalised advice. If a validated strategy product ever ships, it will arrive only after passing pre-registered public gates.
Why should anyone trust the numbers?
You should not have to. Every formula is published so a stranger can recompute the board from public data, and every daily snapshot is attested with a commit-reveal hash chain so history cannot be quietly edited. Trust is replaced by checkability wherever the design allows it.
Check anything. That is what the machinery is for. Decisions are yours.
